There should be plenty of friends for her to run with in Pock Creek Park. Just hope she stays off the roads.
The bobcat has no worries about my getting that close.
Correction to my previous answer: The bobcat weighs 25 pounds.
I don’t know about bobcats, but the last time I was there, I saw some cougars on the prowl.
Reminds me a lot of our feral cat, except he has white instead of yellow, and a long tail. And he’s only 15 pounds. but the same pattern of dark hair on the face and body.
A guy around here got between a bobcat and the dog he was walking. The cat got him pretty good.
The city won’t do anything about the bobcats in the subdivisions. They say if they trap and remove them, others will just move in, or in the worse case scenario, the coyotes will take over the territory. Folks losing small yippy dogs out of fenced back yards are understandably unhappy.
They do expect the next drought to knock the population back down. A wet year and a mild winter, and they are becoming common in some areas of town.
Yipes! I don’t think we have any around here. We have foxes, though, I know for sure.
How big a dog would a bobcat attempt to take?
Ollie found!!! Still on zoo property.
