Mosque attack in Canuckistan. Muzzie on muzzie?
Dr Savage predictably turning soft on Illegals. Another false equivocating idol with feet of clay
Lost Savage when he preached pro choice, such as if a family can’t afford a baby they should be able to abort. Enough said.
Quite possibly.
Apparently, there was also a mosque burned in Texas over hte weekend.
Borders, language, culture.
He was also talking about how the New Deal created jobs — which was true (government jobs), but it killed more jobs than it created, and the jobs it created were mostly taxpayer-funded.
The unemployment rate when Roosevelt took office was over 20% and these were primary wage earners.
The banking system was collapsing, taking customer’s savings with it. 30% of the money supply simply vanished, there was no FDIC to protect them. “Demand” disappeared, no one had the money to buy anything. Businesses wouldn’t hire or expand.
Programs like the Civilian Conservation Corp were a better option than the dole, which was pretty much the only alternative. There simply were no jobs to be had in the private sector with the economy caught in a deflationary spiral.
We’ve had numerous depressions. We had one in 1921. Like most of them, it lasted about a year to a year and a half. Then the economy boomed again, especially with Coolidge’s supply-side tax cuts and spending cuts.
When teh depression hit in 1929, the government tried to fix it (Hoover was a progressive, albeit a lighter progressive than his successor.) Then FDR came in and got government massively involved.
Taht made what should hve been a normal depression into The Great Depression — much longer and deeper than it should have been.
but it helped centralize power, which is all that progressives like FDR really cared about.
We didn’t have a banking system collapse in 1921. Those are very rare, and that is what set the Great Depression apart from the majority of depressions. There was nothing close to the 30% decline in the money supply experienced from 1930-33. The money supply contracted 5% from 1920-21.
The role of banking collapse is described at great length in Friedman and Schwartz’s A Monetary History of the United States, and it was noted by Schumpeter in the 1930s
Federal spending under Hoover was tiny compared to what has been routine in every single administration since the end of WWII. It was around 6% of GNP. It rose to 10% of GNP under FDR until the very heavy spending, almost 50%, during WWII. In the years since WWII the federal government’s percentage of GDP has ranged from maybe 15% to the mid 20s.
That’s a great summation but did you actually hear him the other day? Thurs I think it was. Said if go too far immigration wise become zealot and waxed on about immigrant guy who did work with lovely family. That just ground my gears nothing about how much the family gets vs contributes, how assimilated they are or not (don’t adhere to our culture) , how they vote, how much $ they send out of our country etc.
Now he has a new book out and has the chutzpah to say he is the architect of Trumps platform. So now he’s back in the ignore list with Levin Beck etc
Talking trannies, porn, and the slow death of civilization.
Today, he advocates stopping all immigration for 7 years.
He’s making the same mistake the liberals make — conflating legal and illegal immigrants.
In late, podcast if I get some time.
While Kellyann Conway was on Hannity’s show today, Savage was simultaneously attacking her calling her a barfly who looked like she hadn’t changed her clothes and dishonestly playing clips of her attacking Trump.....but that was because she was working for Ted Cruz at the time.
In the 2016 Republican presidential campaign, Conway endorsed Ted Cruz and chaired a pro-Cruz political action committee known as Keep the Promise I, which was almost entirely funded by businessman Robert Mercer.[24][25] Conway’s organization criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as “extreme” and “not a conservative.”[26] On January 25, 2016, Conway criticized Trump as “a man who seems to be offending his way to the nomination.”[27] On January 26, Conway criticized Trump’s use of eminent domain, saying “Donald Trump has literally bulldozed over the little guy to get his way.”[28]
In mid-June, following Cruz’s suspension of his campaign. Conway left the organization.[29]
Trump campaign
On July 1, 2016, Trump announced that he had hired Conway for a senior advisory position on his presidential campaign.
Conway is a hardcore uncompromising conservative. Maybe was put on the Trump team to help bring support from the Cruz Camp? Whats your take on her?
I did not like that she worked for Cruz, but she has done well for Pres. Trump so far IMHO. At least Pres. Trump’s people are out there fighting back against the leftist scum. No other ‘pubs were willing to do that.
Talking about what happens after you commit suicide.
Kinda ugly
Hey friends, what’s that shirt company that took out ads recently on Savage Nation? Dress and casual shirts. Trying to find it. Thanks!
Sorry, I don’t pay too much attention to the ads. Maybe one of the other guys know?
