I wouldn't mind owning a rifle with a "fun switch", but it isn't something I would use often. Ammo is expensive. Most of my rifle runs are sighting in. 10 rounds and it's dialed in.

But what about those of us who aren’t very good shots?
I need an M-60 ‘Pig’ Rambo machine to throw out a lot of lead.
Like my AK slidefire, for squirrel hunting!

I'd love to own a FA H&K trigger pack or two - they fit all the older HK roller-locked and blowback guns of similar pattern (HK91, HK93, MP5). Same thing with the Norrell trigger pack and anti-bounce bolt for the Ruger 10/22. Toys for occasional use.
I did have a weird old Stevens .22 semi-auto that would empty the mag with a single trigger pull if you held it canted at a certain angle. My dad discovered the problem and traded it for a much "safer" Marlin, just to avoid the BATF pulling a "gotcha" on us at the range. That sort of abuse is why the NFA needs to go away or be heavily pruned back.
