'ELEPHANT MAN' STAR REPORTEDLY DEAD

John Hurt, who starred in a slew of hit movies, reportedly has died. Hurt, who appeared in "Alien," "V for Vendetta," "The Elephant Man," 'Harry Potter,' "Dr. Who" and "1984," died Friday of pancreatic cancer, according to The Mirror. The actor was nominated twice for Academy Awards ... for "The Elephant Man" and "Midnight Express." One of his last movies has been getting lots of buzz ... he played the head of the israeli Mossad alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the Dan Berk film, "Damascus Cover." Hurt, a UK citizen, was knighted in 2015, the same year he learned he had cancer. RIP

Anyone remember HELL BOY? I was on set in Europe and JH was the friendliest dude right after Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman.
He was the narrator on the first minutes of the movie...

Did you know that scene was improvised? The director did it so he could get some real reactions out of the actors. It worked. One of the actors heart rate went so high he had to be given oxygen because he was hyperventilating. Another one had a panic attack and had to be given a sedative. Needless to say filming was ended for the rest of the day.
