At first I thought it was a Terry Kath thing. Looks like it wasn’t.
My wife and I have a friend whos husband, after they had a bad argument, went upstairs to the bedroom and shot himself dead. The impact it makes on survivors can be catastrophic.
It is the most narcissistic thing a person can do. And in front of “loved ones” multiplies that factor.
“The impact it makes on survivors can be catastrophic.”
I think that’s the point.
I guess he didn’t read that recent FR article and do it like that 73 year old guy. Write the bank robber note in front of his wife and then head to the bank and get arrested. Although I guess that wouldn’t have helped with his financial woes.
And I guess the IRS doesn’t have to go after us with THEIR guns, they can just make it so we’ll want to use our own.
“The IRS last year filed a pair of liens against that condo, looking for Trucks to pay $540,000 in back taxes from 2013 and 2014.”
So is the $540,000 in taxes really just from two years of earnings?! If he sold the $2M house at a loss - there wouldn’t be taxes on that would there?
Sad all the way around.
I’d say the impact of the fight was catastrophic to one of them. You seemed to overlook that. Don’t sweat the guy that is dead. Just worry about the other person. LOL Really?
I’d never condone a person doing this in front of anyone. I do however think that we all need to think about how our actions can contribute to this type of a situation.
That’s not to say it was all the wife’s fault either. It is a two way street. He’s dead. She isn’t.
No matter what you think you know, you never know the full story between two other people.
I can tell you that not all that infrequently folks don’t even know the full story even in their own household.
Things can be happening. People’s minds can be thinking things you never expected. You may be only days from finding out things you never would have imagined.
I’ve been there twice. You even start doubting things you knew to be true. It’s a twisted world we live in.
Those that don’t go through bad times, are very fortunate indeed.
“At first I thought it was a Terry Kath thing”
Kath uttered the three words no gun handler should never speak let alone actually believe. “It’s not loaded”
ALWAYS ASSUME THE GUN IS LOADED!
