Full grown he should be as large as his father...250 pounds.
I have a Chihuahua that is adorable, food selfish, and dumb IMO.
I have a Pappion, smart dog, very emotional, nervous wreck. Loves people so much that she will greet you first rather than go eat treats.
Both are cute pests, but different.
The Chihuahua would just run away if it got off the leash.
The pappion stays with you if you drop her leash. Very well behaved.
funny!
our ‘dumb’ Chi-JackRussell would stay near us out of fear of what’s out there.
our Ratshire Terrier would chase whatever she see’s ‘cause she’s 8 lbs of absolute “I’m gonna catch and crush you!” :)
Like yours, would rather meet someone new than eat a bacon treat. Lovable and wonderfully natured, but the hunt is bred into her.
We have a six-point buck that beds down behind our property and regularly jumps our fence to feed. Our little black Delilah goes after that thing like she’s going to eat it in one sitting. The buck ignores her :)
Charlie (the dumber of the two) stands 20 feet further away tentatively barking and looking to the door to see if we are going to come rescue her.
Wi her dogs are also missing a pair of legs in the middle (but I ntil you get their back brace implanted, they make great automatic floor polishers)
My three go racing & barking to the door to greet a visitor. They get competitive as to who gets there first. The one who is behind will try to grab the leg of who ever is ahead by the time they get to the door there is a championship three way tag team dachshund wrestling match in front of whoever is at the door. Complete with ferocious play growling & yipping. Then when you sit down there is another contest to see who can coax a head or belly rub from the visitor. If you’re female visitor the youngest male has figured out that if he gets up and sits on his butt and begs and when he knows you are looking at him he falls over backwards. Every female who visits says ‘oh did he hurt himself?’ and then picks him up puts him in her lap and rubs his belly. That was his goal! He’s got picking up women down to a fine art
They want you looking at their antics, if you pretend not to watch them they’ll stop and look at you. When they see they have your attention the comedy act begins again. They know they make my wife and I happy watching them and you can see it pleases them.
yes, they are clowns!
my Mom’s wiener dog was wonderful and smart too... but also very protective of her (or rather, his monopoly on her affections!)
so I got plenty of pretty strong “nips” from him, ha!
but when his back gave out, you KNOW I had to get it fixed (vet school a lonnnnnng ways away, ha! and to thank me for fixing him up, he bit me really hard, ha!
anyway we LOVED his royal wienerness, he was tons and tons of fun and companionship!!
and they can do this too (they have local, regional, and national championships.....!)
