I finished up some week-old meatloaf over at my parents’ the other day. I Salisbury Steak-ized it with some pork gravy from a jar. With leftover mashed potatoes, too.
I hope it tasted better than it sounds. Jarred gravy? Sacrilege!
(And, I'm currently reading "Combat Ready Kitchen", about how the US DOD is influencing consumer processed foods with their own needs for stable, long shelf-life MREs in one form or another.)
My survival gear includes a solar oven, a rocket stove and a non-electric thermal slow cooker.
