A blessing is a form of empowerment.
And naming a person or thing is the most basic form of blessing.
Thus, for the past eight years I have done everything I could to avoid speaking the name or (presumptive) office of The Usurper.
If anyone wonders at the prudence of such an extreme I would encourage them to read this highly illuminating article on the true nature of the name that The Usurper picked for itself:

And in that same spirit, I welcome with most heartfelt thanks for his personal sacrifice President Donald Trump.
It almost brings tears to my eyes to think of everything this man has sacrificed and endured to take on one of the greatest burdens that could be borne by any person of our era.
Such is the innate humility and goodness of the man, that he only alluded to that personal sacrifice a very few times during his run for the White House.
In ancient historical terms, he has given up a whip, for the yoke.
He didn't need to do that. He could have lived out his retirement years in the most extravagant lap of luxury any of us could imagine. Instead, he traded all of that for the "animating contest" the Framers spoke of.
Why?
Therein lies the answer. It's the same answer the Framers themselves gave.
