Self deceiving and unchristian?
LOL, gimmee a break! It is nothing of the sort. It is about a person being faithful to his beliefs and convictions.
Ya know the expressions, “be yourself”, “maintain the convictions of your belief”.?
Being proud of living your life as you wanted to if it brought no harm to others is no sin and no crime, social or otherwise.
Ah, “My Way”... probably the worst song Sinatra ever did. Don’t get me wrong, it sold very well but...

Excuse me...we are discussing Frank Sinatra..Chairman of the Board...biggest gangster and crook of them all...had people beaten for dissing him...etc.
And if you are a Christian and think you are doing all of this “your way” then you will definitely have some serious discussions with the “Judge”.
And if you are not a Christian, then your beliefs and convictions have as much relevance as a person believing they can fly and stepping off a roof. They might be doing it their way, but gravity does not care.
