From this time forward I will refer to the NYT and the WaPo as “billionaire blogs”. Thanks for the perfect name. Most people do not realize that their goal is propaganda for the Dems, not making a profit.

A Happy and Wonderful Schadenboner New Year to all the le Deplorables/Freepers across America!

(The Never Trumpers and Dems never die. They just get smellier, snarl, whine more and look/act very depressed!)

Urban Dictionary: Schadenboner:

Schadenboner. An extreme degree of pleasure from the misfortune of Never Trump A$$holes whining, crying and moaning after Trump’s victory..

Please donate monthly to Free Republic to keep our Schadenboner strong and viable for the next 8 to 16 years!

The lazy tv news producers literally took their stories from the daily papers– clipped them out and xeroxed them for everyone– no original reporting whatsoever.

Many of us suspected that was how Walter Cronkite did his "show prep" — straight from the NYT every night.

I take no pleasure in anyone’s job loss — not even of members of the MSM. I just pray for full employment for American workers

I think it is too late. By the time the Slimes convinces me they are serious about telling the truth they will have lost their current leftist-idiot readers. Besides, I want them to fail as a punishment for their crimes against humanity.

I remember reading almost the exact same NYT study with the same conclusions several months ago, and NYT did not implement a single one of the recommendations. (Among other things, I remember they recommended opening comments for ALL articles and that NYT should consider stationing some of their “journalists” in the hinterlands as one means of breaking up their inherent liberal, NY City bias.)

I think NYT must commission one of these “what must we do to survive” internal reports every year or so, and the new team simply dusts off the last report, change it a bit, and present it to management, which then promptly ignores it.

“The Times and other news organizations are also bracing for the challenges of covering an administration that is openly hostile to the news media, while trying to forge a stronger connection to the large bloc of voters who swept Mr. Trump to the presidency.”

ROTFLOL!

I had no idea the NYT had such a subtle sense of humor!

Most important, it affirms The Times’s commitment to its subscriber-based revenue model “We are, in the simplest terms, a subscription-first business,” the report says. “We are not trying to maximize clicks and sell low-margin advertising against them. We are not trying to win a page-views arms race.”

Among the report’s recommendations is to improve and expand The Times’s training efforts and accelerate hiring to shift the balance away from print-focused roles.

[Cognitive dissonance?]

FTA: “...to conduct a review of the newsroom and determine a blueprint for its path forward. Titled “Journalism That Stands Apart...”

Single line: tell the truth

They could start by telling the truth. That’d help them stand apart.
