Erasable should not be removed from the lexicon! Who came up with such a harebrained scheme? Without words like ‘erasable’ it would be much more difficult to express the getting rid of things. This word is so useful in so many contexts, no matter what those mealymouthed pedants may think. The very idea of the demise of this beautiful word is abhorrent to me! Is someone somewhere keeping a list of words scheduled for extinction? It’s wrong. It’s just WRONG I tell you! I won’t stand for it!
