Happy Sunday all...
Not the most exciting lineup tonight...don’t want to hear an FDR chat...love Jack Benny...Richard Diamond and X Minus One are both not star shows...and You Bet Your Life can be hilarious but isn’t a show to have in the 10pm hour, way too fast thinking...
How you doing?!
FDR Fireside Chat
(All networks, Original air date December 19, 1941)
What will be his pretense for this?
He’ll have some silly reason for it. Probably makes him feel better about what’s about to happen Friday.
Hi, Vision! Lame lineup, and it’s got the PC injection, to boot.
How’s it going? Is it very cold up there?
Guess what? Apparently I'm going to (staffing wise) be in the inauguration parade! I really am having a hard time imagining this...
Oh, that’s great about the inauguration! I wish you would take pictures, and have someone take your picture, too, and e-mail them to me, or post them here.
I’m sorry, though, about your work. Is there a jerk there giving you a hard time, or is it something else?
I see what I can do.
Just bad company decisions which lead to larger problems. It is what it is.
How about you?
We’re good. Listening to this Dallas-Green Bay game. GADS! Back-to-back turnovers, and I’m hoping Dallas will take advantage of theirs.
Check it out, guys! We just recorded the audio of Dallas’ touchdown and 2-pt conversion on our 1936 Silvertone model 4789 radio. Keith renovated and repaired this radio, although it’s not fully done yet:
Bogart and Bacall...awesome...
Beautiful radio...
DANG! Dallas just lost on a last-second field goal by Green Bay.
What does Martin Luther King Jr. have to do with old time radio? Answer: NOTHING. Again, Murray infects this show with PC crap. We’re tuning out.
Viking, he could tell you the details, but he strips and refinishes the cabinets and then repairs the radios. The one in the video doesn’t have some of it’s exterior decorative parts.
“What? What did Keith do?”
I have some knowledge after messing with these radios for a while.
I can point you in the right direction if nothing else.
