“Have you noticed that when Trump says something (like he did today with his answer to John Lewis), there is an initial period of outrage, followed by a slow push-back, which accelerates, and in a few days or weeks the whole discussion has pivoted as the truth of his observation becomes obvious and is accepted by ordinary people? The hysteria of the MSM is shoveled into the memory hole like a pile of hot ashes, but the damage is done, and they move on to the next attack, but from a slightly weaker position.”
Rules for Radicals
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Good point! That is exactly the way to deal with him, but it won’t undermine his presidency or the Republican party. It will only prove what a great leader he is. Hopefully, they will try it in desperation and discover what the rest of us already know.

Trump can tell You what is wrong in 130 letters.
Jeb Bush can’t in 45 minutes.

I know of 18 seats that Trump can fill with REAL Americans...preferable African-Americans who’ve fled the Plantation and don’t bow and scrape for Massa.

The SOP for the left is to always attack, insinuate, insult and lie. The Republicans have acted like pussies and play d defense because they bought into the game. Trump isn’t a pussy and attacks right back with facts and the truth. There is no defense against the truth.

Unlike W, Trump does not suffer fools gladly. They hit him. He will hit back harder by telling the truth on them.

Mr. Trumps ridicule of Representative John Lewis of Georgia as being all talk set off outrage among Democrats, with many defending their colleague, some vowing to join him in boycotting the presidential inauguration, All Talk - yeah remember when Lewis walked through a Tea Party gathering and LIED about being called the "N-work?? I don't give a damn if he comes or not... he lied about us and he's lying about Trump.

This brief moment during the debates, tells it all about the men. Bush's eyebrow caps it.

And Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., said simply, Were going to need to be smarter than just talking about how bad he is.

Therein lies the problem, you can't fix stupid. Frankly, I'm thinking the more they try, the bigger the hole they dig for themselves. They must feel like it would feel defecating tacks. Major mid-term elections are staring them in the face, Obozo has wrecked their party, Wikileaks hasn't gone away, and the Big Dog is in the WH with his blow torch (Twitter handle).

Trump didn’t lead going low. Lewis called his presidency illegitimate, which is an attack on our Democratic Republic.
Trump simply responded to low. It doesn’t matter that he did it in a tweet rather than in a 700 word news release or a proxy on a Sunday talk show. Keeps him from getting misquoted.
