As Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence signed a bill banning abortion on the basis of sex, race, or of genetic disability such as Down's Syndrome.
I believe that a society can be judged by how it deals with its most vulnerablethe aged, the infirm, the disabled and the unborn. HEA 1337 will ensure the dignified final treatment of the unborn and prohibits abortions that are based only on the unborn childs sex, race, color, national origin, ancestry, or disability, including Down syndrome.
Some of my most precious moments as Governor have been with families of children with disabilities, especially those raising children with Down syndrome. These Hoosiers never fail to inspire me with their compassion and these special children never fail to move me with their love and joy, he continued. By enacting this legislation, we take an important step in protecting the unborn, while still providing an exception for the life of the mother. I sign this legislation with a prayer that God would continue to bless these precious children, mothers and families. ~ Mike Pence

In April of 2008, Governor Sarah Palin and her husband Todd of Alaska gave birth to their youngest son, Trig Paxson Van Palin. They issued the following statement:
Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.
(found quote on HuffPo)
Years later, a personal note the Governor wrote to her family prior Trig's birth made waves online. One of the quotes read:
The baby will expand your world and let you see and feel things you haven't experienced yet. He'll show you what "true, brave victory" really means as those who love him will think less about self and focus less on what the world tells you is "normal" or "perfect."

And now, in light of Meryl Streep's supposed display of compassion and "empathy," at last Sunday's Golden Globes awards, I think of how her peers -- sadly, many of her female (so-called feminist) peers in the media and film stooped to the lowest levels of immaturity and behavior as they mocked, distorted, and bullied Governor Palin, her character, her upstanding career narrative, and her family (some going so far as to spread birther rumors about Trig) -- even long after she was no longer in the running for political office.
I think of how the compassionate and empathetic Hollywood Foreign Press awarded Julianne Moore a Golden Globe for her awful-spot-off portrayal of the Governor and mother of 5 in the film "Game Change."
I believe the compassionate and empathetic Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the Golden Globes that night.
I believe the compassionate and empathetic Planned Parenthood aborts hundreds of thousands of unborn children every year with the help of its committed Hollywood allies.
May we have a society where TRUE compassion and empathy reign.
Meryl Streep doesn’t give two shits about the disabled. She just felt uncomfortable by how Trump said what he said.
The narrative about Trump ridiculing the disabled is a total lie. They will tell it, like they do every lie that is soundly disproved.
I was near my window and I overheard some kids outside playing Cowboys vs Hollywood Weirdos with each other. At first I was not sure if what I heard was correct but then one of the kids said “you’re a hollywood weirdo bang bang.” I had to look out the window and saw they were little kids. I could not stop laughing. I still think about it and it really makes me laugh for quite a while. I figure they must have heard their parents talking about hollywood weirdos.
Some celebs have done some good things, but I can’t think of anything Streep has ever done for anyone.
Stunning
Me either. It was disgusting and showed them for who/what they really were under the beautiful...meh....facade.
In that speech Meryl Streep reached levels of narcissism that shouldn’t even be possible.
Meryl Streep APPLAUDS and would support with her money the right of parents to murder their unborn babies with disabilities. Once you go there, you can’t be for the disabled. It is a hair’s breadth from there to aborting people because they are the wrong gender or orientation. WHICH PEOPLE ARENT GOOD ENOUGH TO LIVE, FOR MERYL STREEP? Gd Knows if she could know in advance, Meryl would be a strong advocate of aborting all conservative babies.
What the hell is she wearing an iron cross?..Sara that not smart in these political time.. the left will smear you, do not give them ammo
And its greatest perpetrators won Golden Globes (again Julianne Moore winning for playing/mocking Palin) or hosted at some point (Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.)
The Left uses children and disabled people as props.
You can’t afford to be honest and that ain’t too cool!
That sounds like a game my kids would play LOL.
It was brutal. And McCain did not defend her.
We’ve got your back, Sarah!
Onyx, pinging you because I think you have Sarah’s list. Can’t check now because I am in bed on a tablet and do not know how to do multiple screens. :-)
Forgot to ping you, even though that one post took me ten minutes on a tablet! LOL!!!
Happy New Year, FRiend! :)
Get ready for it, they didn’t expect
Trump to be successful so they didn’t
throw the kitchen sink at him.
They learned that lesson the hard way
and are now in full blown scorched earth mode.
Unhinged are they.
No...and I have not forgotten or forgiven him for what he did.
K_C Lion has a Sarah ping list, too. Although he might be snoozing too! LOL!
