It has nothing to do with my knowledge of geography. Israelis are Asians too by that reckoning. It has to do with my understanding of English usage. See I've actually sat with English subjects and listened to them complain about the "Pakistanis." The word "Asian," was never used. And here in the US when people talk about how Asians outperform other groups in various educational pursuits, they are NEVER talking about Pakistanis or Turks.

You are confusing English usage with American usage. There are numerous differences - bonnet, instead of hood; boot, instead of trunk; lorry, instead of truck.
The Brits can use their terms correctly, even if YOU don’t like it — some of the muslims come from Bangladesh, etc.. not just Pakistan.
Incidentally, Brits use the term “Pakis” much more often than “Pakistanis”.
