You can see in the video they are switching back and forth from infrared to regular visible light camera and not getting a visual image.
This thing was only “visible” in IR.
My first thought is an IR camera problem.

If a navy as cutting edge as Chile’s can’t explain it, nobody can. Actually the Chilean military is very professional, well trained and equipped.
I would back them against most European military with the exception of the UK.
