I wondered if they could be tried as terrorists?
Not with an Obama justus department. maybe with a Trump justice department however. putting it on facebook as they did definitely makes this more than a simple hate crime though. They were using violence and mass media to affect an entire population and a government. that is terrorism.

As much as I hate the concept of “ hate crimes” if whites are going to get charged, so should blacks.
