I don’t know about europe but here on the border you could see clusters of illegals walking the streets because no one was picking lettuce on Christmas day. My guess was about 160 or so in about 7 areas by the cheap motels. No Border Patrol in sight.
I live in Zeuthen part time on a now, multi year, contract consulting gig in Berlin. (not far from the A-10 center for those who know the area. I was offered another gig in Augsberg but don’t plan to stay in Germany.).
A few neighborhoods in Berlin are simply off limits. As of two years ago Berlin was a very safe city. There were times I drank way too much way too late and was never accosted by anything other than another drunk New Yorker or a prostitute(Anyone who knows Berlin knows there are more hipster New Yorkers than Germans). The U-bahn and S-bahn have more police than I’ve ever seen. The Hauptbahnhauf looks like you’re visiting the middle east some days and Ethiopia on others. All over Germany there are small villages with beautiful churches and buildings that were not harmed during the war. I loved visiting them on my days off. Bavaria is beautiful. NOW... There are loitering Africans begging and leaving garbage and beer bottles everywhere. A yearly trip I take with some US friends is a ride across the Alps on a motorcycle through Stelvio pass to Riva Del Garda. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Now... African beggars are at nearly every turn out along the road. In the small villages that have become infested with “refugees” you see either mobs of Africans or mobs of Syrians. You don’t see Germans. And Germans are known for walking or biking everywhere. Not anymore.
The entire refugee crisis is made up by one big criminal syndicate.
Locals are on edge and locals are angry. The stupid hipsters in Berlin are still holding up the “Refugees welcome” sign but the overwhelming majority of Germans I know are livid. They’ve been pounded by nazi guilt but have had enough with the African and Syrian invasion. BUT, they won’t do anything. To speak out against Merkel’s suicidal policies is a criminal offense.
Liberals just do not fathom that it is not the dirt these people walk on that makes their homelands violent dysfunctional cesspools. It IS these violent dysfuntional people and their 1000s year old cultures. It use to be the only problems I ever heard of in Berlin, and this is a soon as two years ago, were either rowdy drunks and Gypsy scammers. Now... Even the Gypsies are hiding.
Poland isn’t welcoming them and they don’t give generous handouts to the “refugees.” Czech Republic is downright hostile to them and they aren’t going there either. Germany, simply can not recover from Frau Merkel’s invited invasion. She has invited Syrians, Afghanis, and tribal Africans to stage war on German soil.
I was in Nuremburg, Germany on July 18, 2016 and on the S-Bahn and a arab man entered the train. I immediately gave him a don’t eff with me look, and he got off at the next stop. Later that night a “refugee”(invader)had been shot on a S-Bahn train in Wurzburg, after he had stabbed other German passengers.
My dear friend and her husband are American citizens of 30+ years but are originally from Croatia. They have a home in Zagreb where they spend two to three months a year.
This year when they returned from their vacation I asked her if she’d seen any immigrants while in Europe this year and she said she saw no immigrants in Croatia but when they went to Rome, whoa! She said she was with a group so she felt safe but if she’d been alone she would have been very afraid. She said Rome is crowded with Muslim immigrants, poor poor people, some of them dangerous looking.

Although Merkel has refused to put a limit on refugees, controls have greatly slowed more coming in.
My personal interaction with them was early last year I gave my winter coat to one at Church. Some weeks ago we gave two refugees money, raised through Church. I only gave five euros because I was broke and then walked home instead of taking the train. You can't get blood from a stone. Yo meen? (Do you know what I mean?)
