Ours are very spoiled, too. When we noticed that a small colony was gathering at our rural house, we finally did TNR on all of them. Then some dangerous critters (raccoons, coyotes, a bobcat) appeared, so we brought the ferals inside. There are six, and they’re a handful, but at least we don’t worry about them. Sweet, sweet kitties.
Shady Valley! How in the world did a program pick out an area that small?
I love Shady Valley. Actually I love going through it. It’s such a beautiful drive, going up through the forest, passing the AT and the natural Bridge, then down the hill into the open valley. It makes for a beautiful motorcycle ride.
But yes that would be one long drive to the city. Here, we call going to town Elizabethton. And the city is either Bristol or Johnson City.
On the other hand, when/if the economy collapses the farther away from the city hordes the better. I think Trump might be able to forestall it however. But maybe not indefinitely.
Shoveling or sweeping this morning? :-)
LOL, staying cooped up until it melts :-) actually I’m baking bread and making soup.
Our driveway is so steep that I wouldn’t venture down it until the snow was pretty much gone anyway.
How about yourself?
We got 5 inches here, but I have some friends in town, I mean in the city, that say they’ve gotten five or 6 inches.
Until it melts? Looks like you’ll be out by Tuesday...several days of SIXTY later this week. That’s the one thing about East Tennessee...winter only lasts a few days. I measured 7 or 8 inches on the back deck this morning...flat and out of the wind. (Roughly fifteen miles SSW of your location.) No cooking here today...we are filling flats of seedling mix to get plants ready for the 2017 garden.
Nice, I wish I had someone that would help me with the gardening. Especially since I don’t know what I’m doing!
Do you have space for a garden? You DO know there is a FR ‘Garden Thread’, 500 strong, right?
Yes to both, last year my garden was 40x80. We have 13 acres of pasture so could expand when TSHTF. I just wished my husband helped out. Yes the gardening thread was my main source of info- they are awesome!
