As with most things, more is not better.

There used to be about 5 major bowls at the end of the season. A couple of years ago, I counted 50. 50 bowls! Half of them play teams that are in the 6-6 win-lose range. Why would a team that only won half of its games be ‘honored’ with a bowl appearance?

Maybe. I don’t watch much tv at all...

However, in this game, the teams are being honored and rightly so.

Both are a wee bit better than 6-6 teams!
