Pip, pip, hooray! The first of two baby American bald eagles has begun to hatch in Fort Meyers, Florida, delighting millions of people who have tuned in to watch the eaglets emerge. The build up to the hatching is being live-streamed 24/7 by the Southwest Florida Eagle Camera, offering a close-up look at the lives of female bald eagle Harriet and her mate, M15. On Thursday afternoon, viewers caught a glimpse of the beginning of the hatching process, the first crack in an egg's shell. Oh yeah, it will all be so cute and interesting until everyone sees on live camera, the parent tear apart a live bunny or kitten it has swept down on and snatched to feed the 'chicks'.

I am transfixed on watching the death of an administration flailing like a spoiled child to have everyone pay attention to him while the birth of a new administration hatches into the Glory of a Republic to be made great again.
I admit I watch these Cams. The condor nest at Kofords Ridge was my favorite last year
This is what I was referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIUtq0GZ1Z8
Indeed they did!
I checked it out yesterday and one of the parents was there moving sticks around a bit.
That was mom. She’s bigger. Dad’s around but so far it seems that mom does most of the nest building. There’s an owl and a juvenile eagle that we think is one of the babies from last year both of whom are hanging around so dad has to chase them off.
I could watch this all day. I’ve been wasting my life away since this thread posted. Sigh.
You mean to tell me someone actually named the first crack in an eggshell??? And I thought it was weird when i found out that little tape looking thing on the ends of shoelaces was called an aglet...
