Don't hold your breath, because today's Bundeswehr is a reflection of Germany as a whole. The Heer (German Army) is a mere shadow of its recent self, with a total of only 59,000 active soldiers. But even that number is suspect, as it includes Joint Support personnel assigned to the Navy and Lutfwaffe. Equipment is lacking, moral is poor, and Germany's defense minister is a girl. This is not the same Germany that both our fathers fought in World War II.
