Transfer of Power: President Obama's "exit interview" on CNN with former advisor David Axelrod generated plenty of attention when Obama bragged that he could have beaten Donald Trump. Missed in the hullabaloo, however, was a pledge by Obama that he would abide by tradition and retire with dignity as ex-president.
According to Axelrod, Obama admired the way George Bush had honored that tradition after he stepped down as president. "I know you feel strongly about that," Axelrod said.
To which Obama said: "But the day-to-day scrum, that's not only not only is it contrary to tradition for the ex-president to be involved in that, but I also think would inhibit the development of those new voices."
But Obama has already violated that pledge in the abysmal way he's handled himself postelection.

“abide by tradition and retire with dignity as ex-president.” Is this a joke?
IMO, this will backfire.
One would have to possess dignity in the first place to preserve some.
I think Obama truly fears Trump. When the man-child had his meeting with the President-elect, he had an epiphany that all of his accomplishments over the last 8 years would be removed by this powerful figure, and it terrified him. That’s why he and Jarrett are doubling down on the destruction.
What’s more, Obama knows that all the Presidential power will slip away from him in a few short weeks, gone forever. If you think Hillary’s melt down after losing on election day was bad, you oughta see what will go on up on the 2nd floor of White House the morning of January 20th.
Just another one of Obama's self-delusions.
Sworn to fight truth, justice honesty and The American Way forevermore!
OBAMAMAN ...........
Sworn to fight AGAINST truth, justice honesty and The American Way forevermore!
He always does the exact opposite of what he says.
He is too much of a pussy to own his own behavior.
I agree with you that Obama fears Trump.
And all this talk about him staying around and badgering Trump is wrong.
Trump is going to punch him back really hard a couple of times and Obama will run like the little boy he is.
By summer Obama is gone.
Meant to add, and after Obama is gone the ‘tipping over’ of the loud mouthed Liberals will begin in earnest.
Bambi is used to spending our money for 10 million dollar vacations and wifey will want more of that. My bet, his focus is on speeches and making money.

I think you're right. The life-time of this Obama "hanging around" and commenting on what Trump is doing won't last long. Obama's never, ever had anyone like Trump before. All his life he's been handled with kid gloves, and all during his 8 years he's been surrounded with sycophants and yes-men who keep him in a bubble and tell him what he wants to hear. As a result, he's the least qualified person of any room he enters. Obama IS the quintessential snowflake.
His little manufactured fantasy can only be maintained for so long. He's in for a rude awakening.
Yes. If Obama keeps his distance, makes some speeches in closed rooms, earns millions and “acts ex-presidential” then the media can continue to call him the “smartest man in the world”.
But if Obama tries to go toe-to-toe with President Trump, he will embarrass himself quickly. That makes it harder for him to earn millions from speeches or glory in lavish praise from everyone in the press. People will start to call him a dumbass.
Obama might badger Trump briefly, but he will quickly realize that this is not in his best interest.
That's the $25,000 question: Does the Community Organizer have the smarts to realize he'd be fighting a losing battle? After 8 years of being told he's a god, will he know when to hang it up? Will Obama realize that even a god can bleed?
To the Left, a promise is not a commitment, it’s a matter of convenience or political expediency.
One of Obama’s accomplishments is safe..
Most rounds of golf played while president.
Moo will be dragging his scrawny butt out of that house built by slaves before he has time to finish is morning wacky weed.
Looking forward to the tell-all books that will come out down the road by the White House underlings. They'll reveal who really wore the pants in that family. I'm betting it's the Wookie.
