Yet smart people like Greta Van Susteren are members. Go figure.

I wonder how much they had to pay Clinton for that tax exemption?

Keith Code is another. He is a former motorcycle racer and now runs the most successful riding school in the country. When I was wrenching for EBC Endurance and superbikes Hubbard sponsored a bike. Bike racers have always had a tradition of helping each other out. These guys thought they were above that. It didn’t make them very popular.

I live near Clearwater. A few times per week I drive past their headquarters in downtown. The Scientology zombies are everywhere. Slender intense looking in their uniforms, striding purposefully from here to there.

Recently I started seeing a new physical therapy patient at an oddly secured apartment complex. My patient is 98 years old. It turned out I was visiting a Scientology complex, a place where they house and feed the low level minions.

None of the apartments have kitchens. They turned the apt clubhouse into a mess hole. You go there to eat the commercial grade food shipped in by truck. Now you are dependent on them for food and shelter.

My conclusion after watching the series and observing their lairs is this is an evil soul sucking demonic cult that benefits no one but the very few at the top.

I was telling my wife last night that I wish Trump/Sessions would go after this group, or at least the leader.

This series certainly give us a glimpse into the foundations of elitist thought processes:

... We are right.

You have no business disagreeing with us.

If you disagree with us you must be evil and therefore are an enemy.

We will use every means possible to destroy you, including lies and defamation of character....

Sound familiar?

Yes.

In WW1 it was called “Shell shock”.
In WW2 it was called “Battle fatigue”.
The term PTSD seems to have come from the Vietnam era.

It seems we are stuck with it, because it has worked its way into the lexicon. (sigh)

I saw the “Going Clear” documentary. Also creepy were David Miscavige and Tom Cruise. Tom is a complete dolt for believing this organization (and the ravings of the insane LRH) really gives him any insight or mental strength that any good therapist or even serious personal examination could have helped him obtain (for a lot less money too).

Supposedly where they get you is in your sessions where you leak highly personal and potentially embarrassing information about yourself. Although I haven’t heard any details regarding Ms. Remini.

Oh, for sure! Miscavige and Cruise are way up there on the creepy scale, too.

Another thing that intrigues me is how many of the celebrity Scientologists were born and/or raised as Catholics. They include Cruise and Travolta, of course, but even the ones who escaped — Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes, and Leah Remini were all baptized Catholics. While Remini’s mother steered her into Scientology while she was still a child, Kidman and Holmes grew up in practicing Catholic families (as did Cruise and Travolta).

As a Catholic myself, I cannot imagine having ANY NEED for Scientology. A good examination of conscience and an equally good (and ANONYMOUS) Confession will give you all the things Scientologists claim they get from their “auditings,” in addition, of course, to the absolution of God’s mercy. Plus...Confession is FREE OF CHARGE!

I just do NOT get it.

Regards,

.......as an aside, I could really do without the “F” bombs being bandied about, which in my humble (and some might say prudish) opinion seem to take away from a very serious discussion about this dangerous organization.

Please, It doesn't take away from anything! Stop it. This show is amazing.

I do wish though they coud express their anger without the f bombs-

Sigh! I genuinely, truly do not understand people like you. I mean, we are on a thread about a great, important show. I'm fascinated by it, and I have never even known anyone even remotely involved in Scientology. That is why I sought this thread out, because the show is so engrossing, and I see a bunch of groan worthy complaints about "f Bombs". Really?

I was telling my wife last night that I wish Trump/Sessions would go after this group, or at least the leader.

I got the impression that this cult knows the line the law is drawn on. Alot of stories involve "escaping" and being held against will, but only to the extent that a lot of that is mental with a lot of harassment thrown in. The people who made it very clear that they were leaving, seem to have simply left.

But the harassment alone should be cause for investigation. I'm sure the FBI has files on this group miles long.

I am a Catholic too. I see it as boiling down to the self vs God’s will in our lives. So much of the new age cr@p is all about the self. And not seeing and carrying the crosses that are also gifts to us from God. How can scientology have a cross on their buildings? I don’t see that it has any meaning for them. And how can the IRS treat it as a religion when they bow to no deity.

The Scientologists say their “cross” isn’t a cross at all, but a representation of the eight dynamics of self.

Each arm and ray stands for one of the following: 1) The Self, 2) Creativity, sex and procreation (family),
3) Group, society, community, 4) Species survival (humankind), 5) Life forms in general, 6) Matter, Energy, Space & Time (physical universe), 7) Spirit (self or others as a spiritual being), and 8) Infinity or Supreme being.

That being said, I have NO DOUBT that they chose their “not-a-cross” to push the idea that this is a religion. It is not, of course, but the symbolism can sway the weak-minded.

Regards,
