No phone is full need to get to a wifi connection
Never a Christmas morning
Never the old year ends
But someone thinks of someone
Old days, Old times
Old friends.

My favorite rendition of the song is from the movie, “Meet Me In St. Louis”; starring Judy Garland. She sings the song in the movie .. and I always cry.
Looking forward to better things for the next few years.
Very nice!!! Thank you!

Nothing corny about it.
Karen Carpenter had an amazing voice. It’s beautiful.
I’ve seen the movie, but forget the rendition. I should look it up.
It’s a very pretty song.
Very interesting. That has 15.6 million views.
Judy's, as well as other early versions contain the line, "Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow." This seems to have been replaced with "hang a shining star upon the highest bough."
Thank you for that lovely Merry Christmas photo and wish - and the same to you and yours and to all Freepers everywhere!
Not corny one Bit NOBODY could sing a song as wonderful as the sweetie Karen Carpenter imho.
You are so right. Her version KILLS me every time.
My other two are Gene Autry doing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Here Comes Santa Claus.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to both of you, FRiends. It is a good time right now, much to be thankful for.
Funny...I always loved Karen Carpenter’s voice as a teenager, but couldn’t reveal that to anyone...I thought I would be branded a wimp!
It is one of the things I like about being an adult...I don’t really care...:)
I have a friend who works at Bose, and he says her voice is so tonally pure and perfect they listen to her to test the quality of their systems!
