All freepers should listen to 1 full hour of NPR drive time radio. It's as if these liberals live in some parallel upside down universe. It's a extreme evil 'news' outlet. Why are my taxes paying for this bizarro propaganda and fake news ?

yes
Click and Clack were about the only thing ever worth listening to on NPR.
I gave up on NPR 2 - 3 decades ago.
Nor any testosterone in their eunuch DJ's.
I listen sometimes for 2 reasons:
1 - Because I want to know what the enemy is up to.
2 -At night they play great music that I can't get on other stations.
That said, I hope they lose their funding, they're obscenely so far to the left it's sickening.
After Tom’s death, the show’s long time producer Doug (the “Subway Fugitive”) Berman said that Tom, “...and his brother changed public broadcasting forever.” Before Car Talk, NPR was formal, polite, cautious .even stiff. By being entirely themselves, without pretense, Tom and Ray single-handedly changed that, and showed that real people are far more interesting than canned radio announcers.” “Every interesting show that has come after them owes them a debt of gratitude.”
So true. Their voices would put the sun to sleep.
Well, recall what happened when Romney wanted to refund PBS? The liberals charged that he wanted to take Big Bird off the air. Then Mitt was put in the position of saying he liked Big Bird , but then the damage is done. So the GOP are afraid of being accused of not liking Big Bird.
Its as if we accept the liberal premise that PBS and NPR just should have public funding, and any who disagree hate Big Bird. They put us on defense in the court of public opinion.
I only listen to learn the prog’s strategy and talking points.
“So the GOP are afraid of being accused of not liking Big Bird.”
Maybe Trump will serve Big Bird for Thanksgiving next year and the spell will be broken.
Without NRP where would people with speech impediments find work in radio?
I used to donate, but was so put off by NPR’s coverage of the 2004 election that I stopped.
And where would the people fired from regular jobs in broadcast journalism go?
E.g. Daniel Schorr
A former classmate works on NPR as a DJ. She was a screaming radical liberal back in high school (tried to start a protest movement), then became an open lesbian.
So I’m not at all surprised about the demographic.
Maybe it's the nature of the beast -- looney liberals have impeccable taste in food, music, art, etc.
Maybe it's because they've traded in the intellect for sensuality.
NPR fired Juan Williams because he wasn’t left enough for them.

I just listened to them today only to see what they are up to. Normally, I never listen and haven’t in years due to the bias.
Today there was a story about how Trump could be violating all kinds of laws because he had business interests that could be enhanced by his government decisions. And also, about how he changed the airport pattern away from his Florida property. Both were very negative toward Trump, of course.
Wonder if they were negative to Obama and asked probing questions like “who is this dude”, which we still don’t know.
I never listen anymore. They are dripping with smugness and an air of superiority.
