Not likely. This is going to be a rather unhappy Christmas for him considering the fact that Chicago's WLS is dropping him from their 9:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m. slot effective the first of the year.
And here in Detroit, WJR is dropping him from their 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. slot in favor of a local TV news celebrity, Guy Gordon.
That's a major slap down.........
I remember how he crowed about taking over Sean Hannity's WJR 3-5 PM time slot and his audience when the reality was Hannity had switched to the Patriot Network that had no contract with WJR and immediately went on the air on 1400 AM as well as 92.7 FM in the 3 - 6 PM time slot.
Savage's obvious envy of the other nation wide conservative talk show hosts didn't help when he constantly berated them with such terms as "the Wallbanger" when referring to Hannity or "the Leprechaun" when talking about Bill O'Reilly and calls Rush a "Drugster" and a "Fraud".
The only reason Savage resorted to this frequent name calling was to attempt to get a response from his targets and hopefully get his name plastered all across the fruited plains. Sadly for the Savage, they never took his bait and appropriately ignored him...That's what probably pissed him off the most.
Regarding WJR here in Detroit, Savage never had an audience and was merely a quick fill when Hannity jumped channels. Now that his contract expired, Savage is gone...............
This fill-in has a pretty good edge to his show.
