A Texas judge has ordered a school district to restore a decoration that included a biblical verse recited by Linus in the 1960s TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Officials in the Killeen school district north of Austin ordered a nurses aide, Dedra Shannon, to remove a handmade decoration featuring a Bible verse from the special, fearing it violated prohibitions on religion in classrooms.

God bless Texas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone....This is America.
What does Linus say Christmas is all about?
You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hosts, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown
Sanity and the Constitution prevails.
I can’t take all this winning..
Please, Mr. Trump no more winning!
If schools were under local control rather than federal control them this wouldn't be an issue, now would it?
My girlfriends boss “talked” to her a few days ago because she was saying “merry christmas” to customers in her line at Target. He told her she has to say Happy Holidays instead.
them = then
Since we’re talking Target, I’m surprised he didn’t also instruct her to direct all the guys in her line to the nearest ladies room.
It was great to see that Trump had “Merry Christmas” on a sign on the front of his podium at his PA thank you rally tonight. Fox carried it but CNN did not. He also told the crowd Merry Christmas at the beginning and end of his speech. GREAT.
Taking God out of school was not a good thing and these administrators “fearing this display violated prohibitions on religion in classrooms” have far more to fear than that. God owns the world - everything - including everyone’s next breath. Psalm 50:12 . . . “for the world is mine, and all that is in it.”
And we know He will not be mocked. Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
But you, the customer, can wish her a “Merry Christmas”. And her boss can stuff it if he doesn’t like it.
I’m pleased that the poster will be restored but it’s not “Ms. Shannon’s Christmas message.” It’s the Lord’s Christmas message.
There’s a lot of truth in the observation that “The most important part of Christmas is the first six letters.”
Amen!
But speaking as a Catholic, we not only keep “Christ” in Christmas, we also keep the “Mass” in Christmas.
Come to Mass on Christmas. Christ welcomes you!
