Apart from a number of elephants I’ve seen in East Africa the biggest.most impressive,creatures I’ve ever seen “close up” (meaning within about 50 yards) are several moose I saw on the Trans Canada Highway in eastern Manitoba and western Ontario.I wish I had taken photos...big suckers.They were just standing there at the tree line which was surprising close to the highway.

Took the kids through a drive-through safari park in Florida. We had just driven through a rain storm, so the car was wet.
A herd of cape buffalo surrounded us and licked the droplets off the rental car. Kids freaked out. Good times.
