Police are searching for a suspect in a nail salon armed robbery turned shooting, according to the Douglasville Police Department.
The suspect was one of two who entered Top Nails Salon in Lithia Springs on Wednesday. According to Channel 2 Action News the two came in and exchanged gunfire with people inside.

I find these nail/hair salon and barber shop robberies odd. I don’t imagine there’s a lot of money in the till unless they have another “business” in back.
Most, if not all, are cash only operations. Meaning that money laundering and tax evasion opportunities are highly possible.

I am sort of surprised we don’t see more of these in nail and hair salons. When I go to either of these I am always carrying (yes I have a concealed carry permit) because let’s see—
Mostly women
Probably unarmed
Not paying attention to who enters establishment
Hands possibly compromised (manicure)
Have cash, jewelry
