Thank you for your response. My problem preceded my adding Bitsweeper. Nevertheless I took your advice and got it off my computer and added Adblock. We’ll see how it works.

Conservatism_is_Compasion had a good point about me missing your comment about Adobe FLASH player. FLASH is THE #1 access point for malware on ALL computers and devices. That's why there are SOOOOOOO many updates to patch vulnerabilities in Flash.

My repeated, and repeated, and repeated advice on Adobe Flash is the following, and has been for years:


Just Say "NO!" to Adobe Flash.

With Adobe Flash's record, the malware comes in and it takes Adobe a week to push out a new, repaired/patched version, but in the meantime, every computer/device with Flash installed is vulnerable until they do get it out. I suspect that is the vector that brought in your malware/adware.
