Tried to check my pings without signing on and the SEARCH feature would not drop to USER. Anyone else having problems with this?
I had done a search using the "find the homepage"
Turn on your beeber.
The best way is to search google (or whatever) using the keyword(s) + free republic. It works for everything.
All your posts are belong us!
When you get nothing at the search page note the following and click on it.
It is on the right just past the search info you typed in
[ Find User ]
Hmm, I never knew you could do that.
I am aware of that, however, that particular user name would not come back, only a title search.
Tried to check my pings without signing on!!!!!!!!!!

That was Soooo yesterday... '-)
yes, but are you logged in? I can’t help you if you put up all this resistance. As a default password, try Thailand, Moose or UNNNGH and report back.
As I understand when you try to open Outlook you receive a blue window which states “Microsoft Word 15”.
Follow the steps mentioned and check:
Step 1: Run Outlook as administrator:
· Close Outlook.
· Right click on Outlook icon and click on Run as Administrator and check.
If Outlook works fine then right click on Outlook icon, click on Properties< Compatibility tab, under Privilege group check the option Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply and Ok.
Step 2: Check if Outlook is running in compatibility mode:
· Browse to the location mentioned below:
For Win7 32 bit:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClentX86 \Root\Office15
For Win7 64 bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\Root\Office15
· Right click on OUTLOOK.EXE< Properties< Compatibility
· Uncheck the box Run this Program in Compatibility Mode, ensure you also click on the option change settings for all users tab at the bottom of the same screen
· Click on Apply and Ok.
· Open Outlook and check if it works.
Step 3: Open Outlook in safe mode:
Open Outlook in safe mode to check if the issue is caused due to add-ins:
· Close Outlook.
· Press the windows key+R on the keyboard to open the Run window.
· In Run window and type outlook /safe
Note: There is a space between ‘outlook’ and ‘/’.
If you are able to work with Outlook without any problem then the issue might be due to add-ins. In order to disable the add-ins follow the steps given below:
· In Outlook, click on File< Options< Add-ins.
· Under Manage select COM Add-ins.
· Click on GO options beside Manage, uncheck all the add-ins and click Ok.
· Try to open Outlook and check if it works fine.
Step 4: Create new profile:
Create new profile, configure the email account in new profile and check. Refer to the link mentioned to create new profile:

The Search function automatically checks to see if you’re a Donor to FR. If not, it doesn’t work. No, really. #;^)
