Buddhism has swastikas and their meaning is not the same as the German ones. The swastikas in this picture though, seem to be the German kind.>>>>>>>

That’s confirmed.

The origin of the tem svastika is sanskrit.

The design originates from a pattern of the geological striations between several strata on the sides of Mount Kailas, appearing only in the Spring during thaw, thought to be the center or navel of the world by the Brahmins of ancient India. Mount Kailas also was thought to be the mountain home of various Hindu deities. The rotation of the Hindu svastika or Buddhist version would be clockwise.

The Nazi version of the svastika is in reverse, in rotation it would be counter-clockwise , and as such, unnatural, the opposite of the ancient peaceful meaning of the true , original svastika.

Yep, the Nazis spoiled a perfectly fine symbol, one used in many cultures around the world. (Hitler ruined a cool mustache, too.)

Svasti, or swasti, means “auspiciousness” in Sanskrit.
