You accept the greeting gracefully, and you don't whine about it.

Thank you for your insensitive and pushy reply. If you didn't know I was a Jew and you meant to be kindly, I might be a lot more amenable to such a greeting. But you are just trying to be childish and obnoxious and push YOUR POV on me. Only serves to reinforce my original opinion.

I have dated Jews, and not one of them has ever been offended by Christmas, hell they celebrated it with me, and got a Christmas tree in the house.

Seems you are a little snowflake, so toughen up and stop being a liberal snowflake looking to be outraged over this.

I don’t care what you are.

Go ahead and wish me Happy Hanukka.

Only serves to reinforce my original opinion.

Why is your opinion 'dominant'? Everyone has one. Yet you insist yours is the correct one. You sound like a prickly lib on this issue. Merry Christmas to you, whether you like it or not.

Merry Christmas Snowflake.

My thoughts exactly.

EinNYC, you're the one who's being overly sensitive here.

But you are just trying to... push YOUR POV on me

Nonsense. Saying "Merry Christmas" is not trying to "push a POV" on anyone.

If someone told me "Happy Hanukah", I might note the fact that I'm not Jewish, or that I don't celabrate that holiday, but I certainly wouldn't take offense at the person giving the greeting. That's intolerant.

Indeed, if I was in Israel at the time, I'd fully expect to hear "Happy Hanukah" repeatedly, in the parlance of the dominant culture there.

So clearly you've got some kind of chip on your shoulder, IMHO...

For many years we sent Christmas cards to a couple we had known for a few years. It was not until years later that we found out they were Jewish. They accepted the cards knowing our intent. You need to do the same. You did not want to go on the air so you were hung up on. Grow up. You sound like a dem complaining about everything. Why did you waste their time knowing you were just complaining? Send an email next time. Bless tour heart.

You should watch Dennis Prager's 5-minute video on why you should not take offense at "Merry Christmas".

Prager -- a Jew -- says that although he doesn't of course celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, it - Christmas - is a national holiday -- an American Jew's national holiday just as it is for everyone else.

Lighten up a little ... I mean, after all, it's the holiday season -- it's Christmastime.
