I think the dark window tint law was loosened here a while back.

Almost universal in Florida, otherwise you get a cracked dashboard, and a 140 degree car in the summer when you park in the sun.

In the Sunshine State, you’re allowed to have some pretty dark tint. 80% on the side windows iirc. Windshield can only be tinted at the top 6 inches but some people put a light tint overall. Not many though but is the sides and rear are dark, it is hard to see inside.
Having lived in Broward for a few years, ummm, there’s a lot of not too alert people working in the gov simply to meet quotas.
