CHARLOTTE HALL, MD (RNN) - If 2016 has its way, Christmas tree fires will be the least of your worries this holiday season.
A beaver found its way into a Dollar General store in Maryland, tearing apart store shelves in its search for the last box of tinsel.
After the beaver had caused enough damage to warrant an emergency response, Corporal Yingling from St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and Animal Control were called to the store.
Officials said that the animal tried to escape once Yingling arrived, but the animal was safely apprehended and released to a wildlife rehabilitator.
A Beaver ran into the hook when I was Fly fishing ,got him in the teeth ,you couldn’t have straighten that hook any better with a hammer
Was he an Eisbiber?
A buddy of mine is a firefighter. He told the story of he and his crew going to a woman’s house as there were three raccoons inside and trying to get into cubboards and things.
“So we go in and try to get them out the doors we left open. Except they didn’t like that. So now they’re climbing up furniture, up the draperies, knocking lamps over... Running all over and shredding everything in their path with their paws. In hindsight we should have just left the doors open and some fish from the store out on the sidewalk. Oh well - now we know for next time!”
