Texas Republican Elector to resign instead of voting for President-elect Donald Trump
A Republican member of the Electoral College from Texas says he’s resigning so he won’t cast one of the state’s 38 electoral votes for Donald Trump.
Art Sisneros previously told The Associated Press that he was wavering on supporting Trump because the Republican “is not biblically qualified for office.”
In a lengthy weekend blog post, Sisneros updated that, saying “the best option I see at this time is to resign my position as an elector.”

In every state Trump won, the Republican party needs to call all of its electors to whatever location they are supposed to go to for the vote. Put them in a room and tell them you are now taking the official vote. Except it's not the official vote. See if any morons like this guy are not faithful. If they are unfaithful, replace them. Then go have the real vote.

Oh, but then again, there is that part in the Constitution that says a Presidential Candidate needs to be Biblically Qualified. What? ..... Hmmmm.... never mind.

Look...if I found out that someone I thought was halfway decent turned out to be a real ahole...in my book...then I wouldn’t vote for him or her either! Hillary was way worse in my book...so Trump likes women. big deal...he doesn’t advocate killing babies the way the Dem’s do.. and he respects hard workers and he made his kids work in the pits as well. Yet I do get the former elector’s point...better for him then to step aside!
Perhaps he should have done so after the primary. He knew who the nominee was. I wonder if he would have backed out if Hillary had won the election?
