Dan Bongino gave a great analogy about this issue.
In a battle scene from the movie "Braveheart" the British out numbered the Scots by thousands. But strategies and diversions gave the victory to the Scots and caused a British retreat. In projecting the liberal attitude, Bongino said the British could have still claimed victory because they had more soldiers.
Working too hard to make the point.
Pick a football game, where the winner makes fewer yards than the loser. Its the official points that count, not the number of plays, time of posession or yards gained, etc. Winning states is all that matters.
