Why does Rush push apple products so hard? Half his shows now feel like a iPhone infomercial

I don’t know why. He’s definitely enamored of computer and cell phone technology and loves Apple products, but he does go overboard with it almost every day. He’s been giving every caller a new iphone for last two or three days of his show when I was listening.

And AFAIK he gets no special consideration or freebies from Apple, even though he has to be one of their best promoters. And of course, the Apple sorts do not like him or his political views.

That’s Apples way of advertising without being an official advertiser. Apple IS a paid advertiser of the Rush show.

He has a hobby that he enjoys and likes to share it, so he buys them and gives them to his callers. Apple gives him nothing, in fact I doubt you could find one Apple employee that has ever listened to one word he has said.

Excellent question. Maybe because he has used BOTH Apple and MSFT and sees what the everyday experience can be like.

I did R&D for 25 years in the computer industry. I know more about the motherboard, processor and memory operations and how memory space is utilized during OS calls and file transfers (deep driver operations) than 99.5% of the population. I was on the team designing the first 64 bit processor internals and memory transfers 15 years ago. I lived and breathed Windows as part of my livelihood. At the very low levels.

When Win8 originally came out and removed the " Start" button, I decided to try my first Mac. After 5 years, I am never going back to Windows. The reliability is phenomenal. The support is even better. My Apple oducts transfer my files back and forth between my Mac, phone and iPad almost magically. I never need to reboot endlessly to make a basic function resume, or start working. It simply always works. Imagine never needing to rebuild your OS again because a disk crashed. You have to experience it to believe in. And when you do; you will be furious at MSFT for how badly they lack the basic things MAC users take for granted. Like gestures that work, are intuitive and are built into the OS.
