WOW. So illegal aliens can go to Kansas, threaten people with weapons and be released in 24 hours??? At the bail hearing didn't the judge think the perp MIGHT be a flight risk since she were in the country illegally???

I assume there was going to be a trial of some kind on the Sedgwick County charges. Wouldn't it have been cheaper and cleaner just to call ICE and get this woman deported in the first place? I don't understand this.

I can’t understand a bondsman posting on an illegal alien. Seems the likelihood on the perp skipping and leave them having to pay out large sums is too great.

Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter announced in 2014 that the jail would no longer honor ICE requests to hold inmates

Throw the sheriff behind bars. He knew ICE didn't have time to get the report. No telling how many others have been released from these sanctuary communities who have gone out and committed other violent crimes. The family should sue the living daylights out of the county. Anytime an illegal is released with nothing but a pinky swear he/she's going to return for their hearing and commits a crime, the victim should sue the community for every dime they can get.

This makes me so angry! She was arrested for kidnapping last summer, but Wichita is a sanctuary city so she was released on bond and not to immigration.
