Gozer Why does that name sound familiar?
Vinz Clortho, Keymaster of Gozer: "Gozer the Traveler! He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the Rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveler came as a large and moving Torb! Then, during the Third Reconciliation of the Last of the Meketrex Supplicants, they chose a new form for him, that of a giant Sloar! Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of a Sloar that day, I can tell you!"

Awesome Night Launch
I suppose it was awesome if you were there live, but we've been doing this since the 60s.
Even with the on-board cameras it was still a yawn.

Actually, according to
Robert Temple, it is among the newest, not the oldest as commonly supposed by the orthodox Egyptologists.

I can’t agree...
Each lift off has it’s own characteristics.
This one lit the horizon and then a large arc of the sky since it was after dark here.
Then the very bright “orange” light soared high into a nearly cloudless sky as it stretched out over the ocean.
It was about 2 and 1/2 minutes before the sound arrived and did not rattle the large sliding doors and windows as many have in the past.
No separation was visible from here as so many have jettisoned the fuel tanks in the past. That is an exceptional sight as they fall back to the earth especially if the sunset illuminates them at high levels.
I still enjoy watching every one!
