I was able to isolate the frame on YouTube, by trial and error.

I don’t have image hosting so I can’t post it.

Whatever hits them is a projectile that appears between second 46 and second 47. It’s aft third is silver; the front two-thirds are black. It appears to have control surfaces (fins) at the rear. It is only visible for one or two frames at most.

It descends straight down, vertically. If you assume the usual 24 frames-per-second of YouTube videos, and if you assume that the vertical frame distance above the vehicle is 60 feet, the projectile is moving at around 800 feet per second.
