Apple, finally admitting there is a problem is now offers a repair program for Touch Disease afflicted iPhone 6 plus models for a much more reasonable price of $149. If any one has already paid for a repair to Apple or a third party to fix this problem, Apple will refund the amount paid above the $149 price. This repair policy extends for five years beyond the original purchase date of the phone. No other iPhone models are covered. — PING!

I had this exact issue — just about 3-4 weeks ago. Apple charged me 349 for a new phone, after trade-in credit.

Now our other 6+ is doing the same thing.
