A group of young, would-be burglars jumped the fence at their intended victim's house, but apparently didn't account for what awaited them on the other side.

Homeowner, Joann Mendenhall said someone breaking into her back yard would normally be no laughing matter, but she had a little chuckle seeing suspects run from her back yard.

"They were gone like a streak of lightning," Mendenhall said.

Yeah, but you stood on, not jumped on the hive. Consider when Jesse thanks n Breaking Bad hopped a fence and landed on the porta-potty. The only thing that would have been worse was if it was full of bees.

Usually the ones that annoy you at BBQs or the ones that go after soda cans and overripe fruit are yellowjackets, not honey bees.
Yellowjackets have no fuzz, honeybees do.

Since just bees flying around seems to send some people into screaming hysterics I am betting the result would be roll on the ground funny,

Especially if you know you are allergic to them.

When we’re up at the ranch in the summer, we often share our outdoor breakfast table with 40-50 yellow jackets, by simply setting a little food off in a corner of the table.

They seem happy to go about their munching there and pay no attention to us.

In town, often the nest is closer to the house, and we sometimes are dealing with the nest guardians, which tend to be aggressive.

Keep a bottle of cheap Tequila handy to clean and quell the pain of their bites; it works well.
