well let me give some advice... the biggest! don’t ask questions! that will only lead to people telling you to go get educated else where...
don’t post things that people don’t like! they’ll treat you like a red head step child and your post will be pulled...
and always say things in a way where you don’t offend people...

I must respectfully disagree. I've asked quite a few questions here, both political and non-political. And 95% of the responses I've gotten were kind and helpful. And I've answered quite a few questions here from others. My last response was about the best kind of TV antenna to buy.
That is one of the strengths of Free Republic. But a new fellow should probably just observe for a few months before asking a question...get to know the lingo, and all that.
And you should have added: Don’t ever quit. Never.
It only encourages them.
