“Surprised to hear the NSA/Military making political statements”
Yeah, usually they steer well clear of it.
I am no fans of Putin or his crew. but the Russians are many things but stupid is not among them. They would want Hillary in the WH. Think about it. A physically ill, heavily medicated person with tons of baggage to blackmail and manipulate with. Plus she in all likely hood would not last long. They were nervous about her but not scared and would strike back if pushed. If they were the sole possessors of the info they would never let that go to an open source. Putin is ex KGB and wouldn't pass up having an adversary in his pocket.
I think a lot of the leakage is closer to home as in from the WH itself. Who has been conspicuously absent from view and is still at the WH.
And where was the NSA while Hillary and friends were leaking everything everywhere?
Michael S. Rogers is the enemy of truth. He’d much prefer that Americans didn’t know what our government is doing to us.
“Rogers is a Navy Admiral.”
So? He’s still a jackass.
Another turd to flush and replace it seems.
IF You Want A Conservative To Hate You....
Tell Him A Lie!
IF You Want A Liberal To Hate You...
Tell Him The Truth!
One more job just opened up in the Trump administration.
He was career Navy when Obama picked him for NSA.
I was responding to the post that suggested he needs to update his resume, which, being an Admiral, was not the proper path for him to take. I was not commenting on his qualities.
Thanks for the clarification, which reveals the political motivation for Rogers’ statement.
Wikileaks merely told the truth.
Presumably, the NSA has the complete electronic record of emails and texts available to them to review corruption in our government and their mission is to safeguard America.
"Mission Statement
The National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) leads the U.S. Government in cryptology that encompasses both Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Information Assurance (IA) products and services, and enables Computer Network Operations (CNO) in order to gain a decision advantage for the Nation and our allies under all circumstances.
Core Values
Honesty - We recognize that national leaders and the American people at large have placed great trust in us, and we strive at all times to be deserving of that trust. We will be truthful with each other, and honor the public's need for openness, balanced against national security interests.
Respect for the Law - Everything that we undertake in our missions is grounded in our adherence to the U.S. Constitution and compliance with U.S. laws and regulations that govern our activities.
Integrity - We recognize that national leaders and the American people at large have placed great trust in us, and we strive at all times to be deserving of that trust. We will behave honorably and apply good judgment as we would if our activities were under intense public scrutiny.
Transparency - We embrace transparency to the fullest extent possible. We never forget that we, too, are Americans and that every activity we engage in is aimed at ensuring the safety, security, and liberty of our fellow citizens.
Assange for NSA Head.
Ron Paul for Federal Reserve Chair.
Wouldn’t that be hilarious? Yes, I know Assange is not a US citizen. Maybe we could make him an honorary one...LOL.
This post election time is exciting, much less stressful (for us!), and tons more fun!
Raw Sienna, maybe, but definitely not Burnt Sienna.
Obozo tools just keep coming out of the woodeotk
Oh, please. It didn’t take the resources of a “nation-state” to hack the DNC and Podesta e-mail accounts. On a scale of 1-10, those were 1s.
This is the same guy who has said that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was “probably not” working for a foreign intelligence agency. But he absolutely certain that the party or parties behind the DNC and Podesta email leaks definitely IS/ARE working for Russia. How tidy.
The NSA is in Code Red CYA mode right now: All the bajillion dollars that have been spent on alleged cyber warfare have yielded exactly nothing. And this Russia dodge only serves to deflect attention from the fact that they are too busy spying on American citizens to actually be able to PROTECT the homeland from outside threats.
If you think about it, the only party that even remotely “benefits” from all this “Russia did it” talk is Hillary Clinton & Co. Take that away and what we have is a bald admission of colossal failure on the Admiral Rogers’s watch. He’ll be out on his ass come January.
In the end, the DNC and Podesta email leaks didn’t endanger U.S. national security, but the election of Hillary Rotten Clinton sure as hell would have, BIG TIME. And, to the extent that the revelations from those emails influenced folks on the margins to vote for Donald Trump, those leaks served a worthy porpose.
Expect the Trump Administration to take the necessary steps to enhance our national security, starting with stopping the bleeding from eight years of Obama.
Bibi.
