Sounds like a great opportunity to offer relocation assistance to EU manufacturers who want to sell into the US market. Once they open a factory here they can avoid the matching tariffs that the US would place on goods from the EU. With our soon to be lower tax structure, and lower cost but highly educated workers, EU manufacturers may want to relocate to the USA.
Even with the proposed tax US agricultural products can probably compete against EU farm products. I suspect other EU regulations defend that market for local producers now.
Knock, Knock
Who’s there?
Messy-Books.
Messy-Books who?
You’re welcome, Frenchie!
Ok no cheese or wine, I’m sure that won’t be too painful for the Fench economy
How do you say "LOL" in French? Oh...MDR!
Sarkozy....only brave enough to take on fixing his country as long as US money is there behind him to keep his big mouth safe from consequences
Start a trade war with DJT. Good thinking!
Trump can’t pull out of a pact the US is not a part of. Since the tiny little man-boy president decided to ignore the lawful process whereby the US enters into a valid international agreement, one does not exist.
It’s really very funny ... sHrillary was talking about raising the corporate tax rate and implementing an exit tax to hold companies hostage. DJT is going to LOWER the tax rate, perhaps cut some repatriation deals, and business will flood back. This Ewwww (that’s how it’s pronounced, non?) tax will only hasten the process, as you note.
It was one of the very stark differences between the candidates. If not for the Urban Cheat Islands as shown on the counties map, this would have been a landslide of epic proportions. Discounting the gibsmedats, of course.
I don’t think they’re idiots. They’re crooks who are using the climate scam to steal money.
The US Congress did not ratify that deal, you cheese eatin surrender monkey.
We are not legally bound by it.
Go piss up a rope, frog
good point.
case of veuve clicquot for the wife.
And in France, no more Fords, no US soybeans, no Boeing, no petroleum products...
Hardly anyone working in the US produces these goods, right?
Hey Hey Ho Ho, All That Brie Has Got To Go
Indeed. We import more
of their goods. What is sarkoma-n saying? It is bad for the planet to import EU goods?
If you are against globulnwarming then you stop producing. Duh. An oxymoronic threat is what it is
That works both ways. Alabama alone could sink half the europeeing economy by taxing the snot out of Mercedes Benz, Thyssen Krupp, and EADS (Airbus).
How are we going to export anything with carbon restrictions. It is an oxymoronic hysterical threat. Carbon tax will do worse to our industry than a trade war since it will make production prohibitive, period
That’s what the Progressives told us. Those dam tariffs and import/export taxes. What were the Founders thinking? It is much better to tax the wages of working people, that will have no effect on the cost of production at all.
This makes me mad. I bought a bottle of french wine last week as a Christmas present for my cousin and his wife. I guess that’s the last bottle of french wine I’ll ever be buying.
Two can play that game.
Do you think we'll have more carbon restrictions than France?
