Sounds like a great opportunity to offer relocation assistance to EU manufacturers who want to sell into the US market. Once they open a factory here they can avoid the matching tariffs that the US would place on goods from the EU. With our soon to be lower tax structure, and lower cost but highly educated workers, EU manufacturers may want to relocate to the USA.
Even with the proposed tax US agricultural products can probably compete against EU farm products. I suspect other EU regulations defend that market for local producers now.
It’s really very funny ... sHrillary was talking about raising the corporate tax rate and implementing an exit tax to hold companies hostage. DJT is going to LOWER the tax rate, perhaps cut some repatriation deals, and business will flood back. This Ewwww (that’s how it’s pronounced, non?) tax will only hasten the process, as you note.
It was one of the very stark differences between the candidates. If not for the Urban Cheat Islands as shown on the counties map, this would have been a landslide of epic proportions. Discounting the gibsmedats, of course.
