Carol’s smirk alone while talking to the king during their first meeting was enough to make it worth watching. Started out small and just kept getting bigger. I loved it.
Jesus Christ: You can't impeach Him and He ain't gonna resign.
me too..hope they don’t turn Daryl into a villian
And lose at the profit from their "If Daryl dies, we riot." mugs and t-shirts???? I hope not.
No harm better not come to Darryl. The first episode when Nagen hit Darryl back, I was so pissed. LOL
Can’t wait to see tonight what happen to the group after taking Glenn’s and Abraham’s bodies back to Alexandria.
Daryl’s a wuss. Probably gay. Time for him to put up or get out of the way.
thanks for the thread.
Starting NOW!
I found this theory about how Daryl’s character might merge with Carl’s trajectory in the comics.
Did you know that they liked Norman Reedus audition for Meryl they created a new role for him?
Her is part:
Daryl has now been captured, and the previews for this weeks episode show Daryl being held prisoner at Negans fortress, learning how things work there, and presumably being trained to be a loyal dog.
Do parts of this sound familiar? They should. (Comic spoilers follow). In the comics, this is almost exactly what happened to Carl. Disappointed with Ricks subservience to Negan, Carl stows away in one of Negans trucks after he visits Alexandria, and when Negan returns to base, Carl opens fire on his men with Abrahams machine gun, killing a few of them, impressing Negan in the process.
The resulting storyline has readers believing that something cruel and unusual is about to happen with Carl, but that isnt the case. Negan more or less adopts Carl as his ward, impressed by his spirit and his wound. The worst thing he does is make Carl walk around uncomfortably without his eye bandaged. Carl never exactly warms to him, but its an important building block for both characters.
Through this storyline, this is our first look at Negans operation, the kind of information that were now getting from this Daryl angle instead. What that says to me is that perhaps this Carl storyline has been eclipsed by the Daryl as a prisoner concept. Our Carl is also older than his comic version. There, Carl is probably close to nine or ten, where show Carl is Chandler Riggss age, 17, which might imply hes too cool-headed to pull a move like the secret truck assassination mission. But maybe not.
I could not make out what was in the photograph that Dwight gave to Darryl.
Not sure, but I thought it would be a picture of Glenn. Since Darryl basically caused Glenn to be killed, or at least Negen killed Glenn because Darryl tried to fight.
ping
Thanks for the ping.
That’s what I thought it was. Glenn after he met Lucille.
Me too. Carol’s reaction was my favorite part of the episode.
That’s what I assumed too. I really couldn’t make it out though.
Yes, the “Talking Dead” show says it was a photo of dead Glenn.
He did put up. And got Glenn killed. Now what, strawberry? ;)
I really need to watch that episode again. There was a lot going on, especially with Dwight, that I didn’t get.
What I still haven't been able to figure out is how they manage to find Polaroid cameras and film in the apocalypse. You see them used both in this show and FTWD but Polaroid shut down their film factory in 2008 and by 2010 when the plague begins film is very expensive and only available to serious nostalgia buffs. You certainly wouldn't have been able to find it by scavenging your local drug store.
Film might be stored away in a basement , storage sheds etc. in Virginia, MD , DC area. Government buildings?
