My great aunt was a major modern art collector (and a wonderful lady btw).
She did not have one piece of art like this—not one.
I don’t blame your great aunt for not wanting to have anything to do with this...stuff. I wouldn’t have it anywhere near me or my home. I have seen some wild stuff in art galleries large and small, and this is this kind of stuff that would send me out the door with a desire to vomit.
Real art is supposed to inspire awe and admiration; in other words, art is sublime.
You can tell a lot about a person by what they consider to be “art”.
